Fire Truck Operation Guide

The operation of a fire truck involves multiple aspects, including basic operation, specific scenarios, maintenance, and precautions. Below is a detailed operation guide:

1. Basic Operation

Starting and Stopping:

  1. Press the clutch and start the fire truck engine.

  2. Release the clutch, turn on the power, and open the rear water inlet.

  3. Activate the fire pumper and wait for 1 to 2 seconds before opening the water outlet.

Shutting Down the Pump:

  1. Turn off the fire pumper.

  2. Close the rear water inlet, turn off the power, and shut the water outlet.

Foam Operation:

  1. Turn on the power and open the rear water inlet.

  2. Start the fire pumper and wait 1 to 2 seconds.

  3. Open the foam supply, activate the foam induction switch, and turn on the foam proportioning mixer.

  4. For manual mode, activate the manual switch as needed.

2. Special Operating Conditions

Winter Operation:

  • To prevent air system freezing, which may cause brake failure, regularly replace the dryer canister.

  • Apply grease inside the water outlet and ensure proper insulation on the outside to prevent freezing.

Aerial Operations:

  • Ensure all four horizontal support legs are fully extended, and vertical supports are placed on solid ground.

  • Level the fire fighting vehicle before operation.

  • Use safety ropes to stabilize the platform; if wind speeds exceed level 5, use safety ropes, and if wind speeds exceed level 6, cease aerial operations.

3. Maintenance and Care

Routine Maintenance:

  • After a certain period of use, clean the fuel tank filter, water tank filter, and check the electrical system integrity.

  • Inspect and maintain the transmission box, gearbox lubrication, safety valves, gears, fire department engine components, and water valves.

  • Maintain the ceramic plunger pump, boiler coil, and control system circuits.

Winter Maintenance:

  • Inspect and replace diesel heater switches, apply grease to the water outlet, check torches, and ensure the warming bottles function properly.

4. Safety Precautions

Safety First:

  • Operators of the fire truck emergency system must carry a portable gas leak detector.

  • Before starting the vehicle, perform a leak test to ensure there are no gas leaks.

Vehicle Inspection:

  • Before any fire truck response operation, the operator must conduct a full inspection of the fire fighting vehicle.

  • It is strictly prohibited to operate the fire pumper if any faults or defects are detected.

Cable Inspection:

  • Before operation, inspect all electrical cables.

  • If any exposed, damaged, or aged cables are found, they must be replaced before proceeding with the fire and rescue truck operation.

This operation guide ensures that the fire fighter truck operates efficiently and safely under all conditions, providing reliable service in firefighting and rescue missions.
